2. To become familiar with the various genres of Scripture
3. To become familiar with the basic issues of historical and cultural background.
4. To learn the basic literary features of Scripture – to see the Bible as literature.
5. To be able to apply the time conditioned message of Scripture to the student’s own historical situation.
